Setting up a profile is free! Monthly contests are held and prizes are given. Although, the prizes don’t seem worth the effort besides the recognition. Grand prize winner(s) get a blown up version of your art piece printed on canvas. I imagine the resolution and final image can’t be all that great. But, I still think the site is a great way to create and share your artwork.
Speaking of “Art”, I think it would be a PERFECT addition to the list of categories here. 😉

And if you’re saying you’re regularly going to post art-related articles, I’d be happy to add another category. You might be better off putting that in your own site to generate yourself some traffic, unless you’re planning to write scathing articles that will condemn you in the art world. That would be fine, too.

Yeah, this is something I will probably repost on my site, but I thought it might be fun for others to try out for themselves. Otherwise, yes, this is completely a shameless plug.
I may post some more art-related news and reviews in the future if it seems interesting enough to share. If you start seeing a trend, then go ahead and add the category. Otherwise, it can remain the black sheep for now. 😉
